Revisited: Can the human mind be explained by, and reduced to, impulses in the nervous system?

I believe that the soul inhabits the brain. Its all very interesting but not terribly relevant. God exists and that's enough for me. Trying to understand it all is pointless and a waste of time. Its worth noting that if we were just a large computer there would be nothing to make us truly self-aware. The self aware computer is just a myth, its just a machine, it would be a self-aware pulley system, impossible even if it acts like it.
