Sims 2 University problem?

I made my sim have a baby at university with a cheat, and when she was about to graduate I used the agesimscheat to make the kid an adult, and long story short the mom went back home and the adult kid, not young adult, is left at the college and can't go back home to river blossom hills? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
